Custom website for a driving school in the Ain, which no longer rents its site: online and maintained since 2021, scoring 100/100 for accessibility.
The problem
The Alpi driving school has taught car licences in Reyrieux since 1997: automatic gearbox, accompanied and supervised driving, and BE and B96 licences. Its website was rented from a provider: an expensive subscription over time, without ever owning it. It wanted a site of its own, fast, limited to the essentials, that it could update without depending on a platform.
What I did
- Design and development of a custom site in Symfony in 2021: only the useful pages, with no superfluous plugins, for fast loading
- In-house back office to manage courses, news, testimonials and messages received
- Presentation of the courses (car licence, automatic gearbox, theory test, post-licence), offices and opening hours
- A “Register in 3 steps” page with the documents to download
- Contact form with message tracking in the back office
- Pages for the driving school quality label (internal rules, training programmes, complaints procedure), requested by the school to obtain the label
- Takeover of the site in late 2023: server change, restart and making the form’s email sending reliable
- Maintenance since, including an accessibility compliance update in 2026
Results
- A site that belongs to the driving school: no more rental subscription
- Quality label obtained, with all the compulsory documents online
- 100/100 for accessibility on mobile and desktop (Lighthouse), 100/100 for performance on desktop
- Online since 2021 and maintained since
