What I collect, and why
Only what you enter in the contact form: name, company, email address, need, message, and the page of the site from which you sent it. This information is used for a single purpose: to answer your request and, where applicable, to prepare a quote.
Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
I do not sell, rent or share your data with any commercial partner. It is not used for prospecting.
IP address
Your IP address is not stored with your request. It is only used for one hour to limit abusive use of the form. As on any site, the server keeps technical connection logs, stored for one year at most for security reasons.
Retention period
Your requests are kept for three years after our last exchange, then deleted. If we work together, contractual and accounting documents are kept for the periods required by law (ten years for invoices).
Who has access to your data
Only me. My technical subcontractors access it solely to make the service work: the site host (OVH, in France) and the notification email service (Brevo, in France). Data is hosted in the European Union.
Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookie and no third-party service that would follow you. A single technical session cookie is set: only after the contact form is sent, to display the confirmation page. It is exempt from consent and disappears when you close your browser.
Audience measurement
To know which pages are viewed and to improve the site, I use Matomo, an audience measurement tool installed on my own server (stats.datapet.fr, hosted at OVH in the European Union). It is configured according to the recommendations of the French data protection authority (CNIL) to be exempt from consent:
- no cookie is set on your device;
- your IP address is truncated (its last two bytes are removed) before any recording;
- the data is used only to produce anonymous statistics (page views, origin, device type), is not cross-referenced with other processing and is not passed on to anyone;
- it is deleted after 25 months.
You can refuse this measurement at any time with the button at the bottom of this page. If your browser sends the “Global Privacy Control” signal, nothing is measured.
Fonts are hosted on this site: no data is sent to Google or any other provider when you visit.
Your rights
You can at any time access your data, correct it, have it erased, object to its processing, and request its restriction or portability. Write to nicolas@datapet.fr: I reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your own country.
