PrestaShop store migrated into WordPress with WooCommerce in one month: a single site to manage, faster and optimised for search. Maintenance since 2023.
The problem
Billards Bréton has been making billiard tables since 1852. In 2023, the SEO agency seo.fr put me in touch with the company for its technical maintenance. I found two separate sites: a PrestaShop store and a WordPress showcase site. Every change had to be made twice, and the site was slow and poorly ranked.
What I did
- Migration of the PrestaShop store to WooCommerce, inside the existing WordPress site: 189 products online, customers and orders carried over
- WooCommerce adapted to the way the company works, notably shipping costs calculated by zone, essential for billiard tables that are delivered and installed
- Integration of the new design, created by a UX/UI designer
- Speed optimisation and implementation of all of seo.fr’s SEO recommendations
- Site and server maintenance since launch
- April 2026: full audit of the site and server (score 76/100), then an action plan: a 4.37 GB error log deleted (it was publicly accessible), security headers added, PHP 7.4 moved to 8.2, WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor updates tested on a copy before going live, Redis cache enabled
- September 2026: site restored the same day after an outage caused by a third-party module installed without notice, followed by a security audit
Results
- One site and one back office instead of two
- Time saved every week on managing products and orders
- A simpler tool for the team to use
- Project delivered in one month, in 2023; client supported with maintenance ever since
