Why a custom website rather than WordPress
WordPress remains the right choice for many websites: you edit it yourself, and any provider can take it over. But it comes with a trade-off: a core, a theme and plugins to update continuously, and that is where most security flaws come from. A custom website, coded directly, has no theme to license and no plugin to watch: there is only your own code.
How the build works
You send me your text, photos and logo in one go. The site starts from an already-built technical foundation (layout, back office, SEO sheets) that I adapt to your branding and your content, rather than recoding everything from scratch: that is what makes the build fast. AI helps me produce pages and templates faster, under my control: every page is reviewed and tested before going live, like any other project.
Keeping your site up to date: two complementary options
A website with no CMS has no core or plugin updates to apply. What remains is keeping the content up to date: text, photos, new pages.
- Classic maintenance: you ask me for a change, I make it. Simple, nothing to learn. See the maintenance plan.
- The AI editor connector: a one-off purchase (included if chosen at order time, €90 excl. VAT added later) that makes you independent: you talk to an AI to edit your own text, it shows you a faithful preview of the page, and nothing is published without your approval. See the AI editor page.
The two are not exclusive: the connector belongs to you like the rest of the code, maintenance stays useful for everything it does not cover (security, backups, and your edits if you do not code yourself).
How much does a custom website built with AI cost
From €590 excl. VAT, for a website of up to 5 pages, built from the DataPet template adapted to your branding. Included: back office to manage your pages and options, basic technical SEO, a protected contact form, 1 hour of training, a 30-day warranty. If you already have UX/UI mock-ups ready, I can build the site directly from them rather than from the DataPet template: the price is then set by quote, as for a PrestaShop store built from mock-ups.
Hosting, code ownership, and if you can code
I do not host your site: it is hosted in your name, with the host of your choice (OVH, for example), on the sole condition that it offers SSH access. If you do not know how to set it up yourself, I can do it for you as an option, for €90 excl. VAT. Once the website is paid for in full, the code belongs to you: you can hand it to another developer, or edit it yourself if you can code. Nothing is locked into a proprietary tool, unlike a website built with Wix or Shopify.
